About Christie

I am a dedicated and passionate support worker from the Whitsundays, with a deep-seated enthusiasm for working with children and fostering their development through therapeutic methods. My journey in child therapy began shortly after high school, where I stepped in to lead my father’s Djembe drumming classes, pioneering therapy through music. This experience ignited my passion for helping others and understanding the significant impact that support and guidance can have on young lives.

Over the past three years, I have honed my skills as an independent support worker, focusing on assisting diverse groups of people, particularly children, with empathy and dedication. I am committed to helping individuals navigate their challenges and reach their full potential, and I find immense joy and fulfillment in contributing positively to their lives.

Currently, I am advancing my expertise by pursuing a Diploma of Counselling through the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors. I am thoroughly enjoying the journey and am committed to continuous growth in my career.

My experiences and education have equipped me with the tools and knowledge to effectively support and empower those I work with. I am dedicated to making a positive difference and look forward to continuing on this rewarding path of contribution and support.

Group Workshops

Our Well-Being groups are specialised therapeutic sessions designed to cater to children and adolescents who are navigating various social, mental, emotional, and behavioural challenges. These groups typically consist of several participants of similar age, guided by one or more therapists skilled in child therapy. The setting is deliberately structured to foster open communication, mutual understanding, and supportive interactions. Through activities, guided discussions, and peer interactions, these groups aim to address specific issues like anxiety, coping skills, social skills, and more, in a safe and controlled environment.

We are an NDIS-approved provider, allowing us to support individuals with disabilities through various services funded by the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Groups cost $40 per hour.
