About Adam

Adam Cousens is a highly skilled and dedicated Integrated Psychotherapist Trauma Specialist with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate and heal from trauma. With a strong background in mental health, counselling, and social support, Adam takes a compassionate and client-centred approach, ensuring each individual receives the highest level of care tailored to their unique needs.

 

With over a decade of experience in disability support and aged care, Adam has worked extensively with individuals facing a range of challenges, providing hands-on assistance, fostering independence, and improving quality of life. His deep understanding of the complexities of care informs his trauma therapy practice, enabling him to offer well-rounded, empathetic support.

After also studying at the Tasmanian Conservatorium Of Music, Adam also understands the therapeutic power of creativity and expression in the healing process. His experience as a musician informs his approach, incorporating elements of sound, rhythm, and self-expression into his therapeutic work when beneficial for clients.

Adam is passionate about guiding individuals toward healing and transformation, using a comprehensive and empathetic therapeutic approach.
